The Clown Who Lost His Memory is a multimedia monograph, created on Microsoft Sway. It is inspired by the museum collection of Irving Pollard (1898-1975), known as Chicot the Clown. The project first took place in 2006-8 in partnership with The Herbert Museum and Art Gallery, Coventry, Arts Council England and the AHRB (now AHRC). This story of recuperation through creativity suddenly seems apt in our current situation during the Coronavirus Pandemic so I have revived it. It is presented in fond memory of friends in Coventry who contributed and wishing them well as they think ahead to the 2021 UK City of Culture. %I University of Salford
