This poem-cum-conference report traces Scott Thurston’s experience of the conference ‘Dance Fields: Staking a Claim for Dance Studies in the 21^st Century’ convened by Centre for Dance Research (C-DaRE), Coventry University; Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Dance (CIRID), De Montfort University and Centre for Dance Research (CDR), University of Roehampton. The conference took place between the 19^th and 22^nd April 2017 and was held at the University of Roehampton.
