Speech corpus - ambient noise of recording room
mediaposted on 28.03.2019 by Philippa Demonte
Media is any form of research output that is recorded and played. This is most commonly video, but can be audio or 3D representations.
A .wav file of the ambient noise of the semi-anechoic chamber in the University of Salford's Acoustics Research Centre**, in which a new digital audio recording of the HARVARD speech corpus was generated in December 2018.
** acoustically treated to standards BS ISO 3744 / ISO 3745 and BS 4196
See harvard_201218_British_English_recording.txt for full details of the recording process.
Use this ambient noise file as a filler if re-editing the spoken audio (see zip folders).
