My practice based research instigates creative approaches and platforms to consider how our internal states influence our external environments and vice versa. I am interested in how public participation, collaboration and curation in the making and presentation of research might foster diverse cultural perspectives and new insights that traditional research methods, often based on the spoken word alone, might exclude. My practice-based research is informed by over ten years as a cultural practitioner working on cultural and social programmes that foster creativity, inclusion and learning amongst diverse participants, collaborators and audiences, This includes curating research as guest curator for Sheffield International Documentary Festival and Manchester Science Festival. I am currently exploring how audiences become immersed in a play to develop understanding of the complex role of truth and belief in people’s daily lives.
